Choral Evensong

Choral Evensong is a long-standing tradition in Anglican churches that goes back hundreds of years.  It is a service of evening prayer, with hymns, psalms, musical settings of some songs from the Bible, Bible readings and prayers.  It is a service to listen to and absorb the beauty of the music.  To hear something of God’s message; and also to join our prayers with other Christians around the world. Everyone is very welcome to join us in this service of prayer and praise.

In Taff Wenallt Ministry Area, we have a volunteer choir who lead us in the hymns, and sing the musical settings and anthems that we have at

Evensong.  The choir is based in All Saints Rhiwbina where they sing at our morning eucharist service, but at Evensong they are joined by singers from all four of our churches.

We sing Evensong on every third Sunday of each month, usually in St Mary’s, Whitchurch at 5pm. There may be changes to our schedule so if you wish to join us do please look at our events diary.
