Need a Visit?

Our Lay Pastoral Visiting (LPV) team are taking the church to those people who cannot get to church.

All first time visits are arranged through the clergy who visit the person initially.  The LPV team (who are all trained and licensed by the Diocese) meet regularly with the clergy and that is when ,  having asked the person that they have visited if they would be happy for a member of the LPV team to visit, the clergy  pass on the details for the nominated visitor to arrange visits directly.

The idea of visiting is to give  the person that you visit time to talk.  To give someone an hour where they can just talk and be listened to is a big thing to many people.  If the people wish  to pray or receive communion  that is ok as many of the LPV team are trained to take home communion services.
